I Am Back On The Carnivore Diet
And this time, I’ll stick. Mostly.
I’m hitting the reset button and going back to carnivore. Remember when I shed over 20 kilograms just by eating loads of fatty red meat? Yep, that was me, no exercise, just meat, for 11 whole months. And it worked like magic — I went from a flabby 90ish kg to a sharp 67 kg.
Then came the slip. The better the shirts fit, the more my discipline waned. I started to eat anything I wanted, thinking I had it under control. But I didn’t. Despite sticking to one meal a day (OMAD), the variety beyond strict carnivore began piling the pounds back on.
Isn’t it mesmerising how intricately addictive food is?
My tastebuds have a mind of their own, really. Despite loving my accomplishment of shedding all that poundage, loving how I look & feel, how athletic and toned I’ve become, how my iron-clad self discipline opened up numerous opportunities in my professional and personal lives…all it took was a few delicious, relatively healthy, smorgasbord of food offerings that put me right back to where it all went wrong.
The end of craving never actually occurs. It’s simply a dormant, latent addiction that we can at best, stymie.
