It’s become a buzzword, tossed around like a hot potato.

I’ve been there — being branded as ‘toxic’ on things which on reflection, were anything but. Thanks to cancel culture and a healthy dose of self-reflection, it’s crystal clear to me: toxicity is poorly defined and by overusing the term, we’ve stripped it of it’s meaning.

Chasing dreams? That’s not toxic. Leveraging your every advantage? That isn’t either. Ruthless discipline, unyielding pursuit of your goals, staying true to your vision? That’s the stuff of champions, not toxicity.

Amassing power, using it to influence, negotiate, charm? It’s strategic, not toxic. Waking up charged and ready to conquer? That’s life, full throttle. Doing your absolute best, striving for personal growth — mentally, physically, spiritually — how’s that toxic?

Wanting, and being, the best YOU you can be? It’s ambition, not toxicity. Guarding your time, effort, energy — focusing every waking hour on improving your quality of life? That’s smart living.

Hoping for your parents’ happiness, dreaming of a family empire, embracing growth at every turn — none of this is toxic. It’s human. It’s natural.

So, let’s cut the crap. Let’s stop mislabelling ambition, strategy, and passion as toxic.

It’s time to reclaim these qualities for what they truly are — signs of strength, resilience, and a zest for life.
