Totally agree with this — I wrote about my takeaways from Daniel Pink’s “Drive" last week and in particular, the idea of having learning goals (e.g. aim to read more variety of books, study structure/content of successful writers) as opposed to performance goals (read a book per week, publish new content every Monday,etc) leads to more fulfilling, sustainable creative output.
