The Job Market Is A Dicey Beast!

Thank heavens for my steady, but solitary, income.

Embracing Discomfort.

Job hunting! It’s a jungle out there, no joke.

My checklist is pretty specific: close to home, part-time, flexible in the remote-hybrid dance, white-collar vibe, a stage for my chatterbox skills, and a pay mix of steady and spicy, ideally in sales or marketing. Oh, and I’m eyeing the post-4 PM slot, tossing in weekends as a bonus offer.

Despite my laundry list of creds – decades in the game, top-tier references, diploma in hand, no visa drama – I’m hitting walls. Application after application, and the silence I hear is dewatering.

Here I am, anchored by a six-figure gig that’s the family lifeline, just fishing for a few extra hours to funnel into our dream home fund. But zilch. Empty nets all around.

Imagine if I was vying for an actual, full time job? Talk about a reality check.

So here’s a shoutout to my current setup: a golden ticket of a job that’s a perfect fit, letting me shine and sharpen my toolkit, all from my living room. Because without it? I can’t even imagine. It’s a tough gig world out there, folks.

Stay grateful, stay grinding.
