Stop Confusing Price With Value

Numbers don’t signify worth. Only YOU can.

Price is just a number, denominated in a fiat currency that can be printed at will.

Remember, anything divided by infinity is zero.

Yet we often confuse price with value. Price is what you pay, denoted in those unlimited paper tokens we’re always chasing. But value? That’s something else entirely.

Value is the essence you derive from an object or experience. It’s inherently subjective, potentially limitless, and cannot be neatly boxed into the price tag you see. It’s positive or negative, essential or trivial. Our grasp on money is fundamentally flawed, skewed by a fiat system where our buying power is perpetually diluted. We’re tricked into equating price with worth.

Consider that little black dress you adore — cost you 30 quid. Is it really just worth that? What about the confidence it instils in you, the admiring glances it draws, the envy it sparks? Can you put a price on that feeling? Of course not. The value of that dress transcends the price tag.

So next time you’re about to make a purchase, ask yourself if you’re truly understanding the value, not just the cost.

Price is the figure you exchange to gain an experience — a mere entry ticket to the value that experience holds.

Go out there, maximize and create value. Remember, price is just the beginning; and it’s only value that truly matters.
