January is interminable, innit?
On account of receiving an early Christmas salary, my bank account today has a princely sum of £1.85 remaining. Too much month at the end of the money, as Jim Rohn says.
Woke up anyway, and cycled down to work. Have come up with a foolproof plan on making the most out of my work time during quiet days: lots of internal & external training. There’s a treasure trove of resources available at work and instead of twiddling my thumbs, I rather plow into it. Let’s see where I am in a year’s time. Spent the morning setting up my work calendar for an hour’s slot at the start and end of the day for training purposes.
Went through the motions with my account teams – the usual carry on. Still awaiting on any updates for the interview I did. The longer it goes, the slimmer my chances of progressing I reckon?
Then cycled home. Quick weights session and sauna. Wrapped up in throw in the couch and the Mrs has cooked up a gorgeous assortment as usual. Spend the next hour or so digging into it, with Larry David playing in the background. She’s still jet lagged, so an early night beckoned. 7:30pm and I am soporifically reading Seth Godin before calling it a night and sleeping for 12 hours straight.
