Daily Diary
1st January, 2024
Cracked open my eyes at the not-so-bright hour of 9:30 AM. Monday and the New Year’s Day combo hit differently, eh? Kicked off with Barry’s finest brew, then stretched under the golden morning sun – hit those pushups, squats, and a plank that felt like a mini-eternity. Still got the fire in me.
Mission morning workout: Accomplished.
Next up, diving into the day’s musings with pen and paper. Keeping that promise to myself – a daily rendezvous with my thoughts.
Mission daily writing: Nailed it.
Halfway through ‘The Richest Man in Babylon’, lounging in the sun with just my shades for company. The book’s wisdom almost as warming as the rays.
Then, the afternoon sun’s lullaby led me and the Mrs to an impromptu siesta – a passionate dance between the sheets, not once, but twice.
Post-lovemaking, we basked in the glow of the fading Belgaum sunset. Family packed into our trusty Alto, we hit the town. The Mrs scored some elegant slippers, while I embarked on a fruitless yet thrilling quest for that perfect watch and elusive underwear brand. Ended our escapade with an epic feast of chicken kebabs and butter naan – my one big, indulgent meal of the day.
Capped off the night with a literary wrap-up of ‘Babylon’, and cherry-picked some Ludlum and Le Carre for the reading marathon ahead.
Day one of 2024, you were a rollercoaster of delight. Let’s keep this zest rolling.
