Second day running. Wow. Early signs of an actual trend? Jeepers. Better get a hold of myself before I go full Oscar Wilde.
Anyway — as mundane as Tuesdays get really. Taupe suit, pink shirt, black tie. Very chic and faux-traditional, even if I say so myself. Keep the mojo boat afloat for a bit longer this morning, even managed to half listen to some work calls. Nothing burning anywhere — so all good.
The new brown shoes with rubber soles actually felt a lot easier to walk with but nowhere near as brazenly posh as Monday’s. Still, early morning bike was a breeze (old XFM reruns on my AirPods), bike parking shed entry & exit still remains a colossal waste of time.
Pitch dark when I cycled home too, around 5:30pmish. London engulfed in winter. Leather gloves and skull cap on as I whizzed through the capital to get home in record time. What should’ve happened at this point was 200 push-ups but lo and behold, I managed to convince myself I was tired and cold. Anyway — let’s see, maybe from next week at this stage. Who starts anything on a Tuesday anyway? Too random.
Couple of episodes of “Minx” and “Severence” on the box — not bad but not WOW either. Have to stop eating in front of the telly. Finished off the first of three crime novels from that ex-Pointless co-host. Quite a compassionate read actually and a lovely, quintessentially British writing style. Recommend it! Kinda like the “famous five” gone geriatric.
Bed beckoned, so I slept like a doozy. Oh and I figured out how a storage heater works, sort of. Another quintessential British thing.
Onwards and upwards.
