Embracing Discomfort.

Woke up early doors to see a stray dog gnawing our bin bag, and its entire contents, to smithereens. Used beer cans and Burger King boxes strewn all over the front porch. Beautiful.

A day of pure food indulgence today – 3 ghee dosas doused in butter, lots of associated palyas and sambar, superfluous chats at 7pm, 10 puris with more vegetable curries and heaps of rice at 10pm, polished off with 4 jalebis soaked in rabdi. I hereby vow not to eat anything until Friday.

Find my old suits and shirts from my parents cupboard and pack them all into a suitcase. Time to head back to Bangalore for a few days before jetting back home. The Mrs and I spend an hour sitting cross legged at a local bangle shop, where after much haggling and decision making, we find the exact shade of green and purple for the Mrs.

Try to make a start at a slide deck outline for my imminent Director-level interview. I still remain the rank outsider but am determined to give it my best shot anyway. Best case, I get the gig. Worst, I show that I can be a reliable number 2. Looks like I need 4–5 full days to get to the finished product, so I know what I’ll be doing in Bangalore for most of the time.

Try to get some early shut eye as I am driving the family to Bangalore in the morning. Should be boring AF but has to be done.
