WFH day. Feet up, wrapped in fleece, laptop ostensibly on my lap, Tesla Cybertruck reviews in the background, and less than 20% of my attention given to my job.
Happy Friday indeed.
Spent most of the late evening understanding how salary sacrifices work, and now I am convinced I am losing free money every month. So the Mrs and I hash out a detailed plan on the whiteboard and come up with a solid strategy: starting from the new year, I’ll be taking a salary cut of 10%. Let’s see how that works out. The tax benefits from this seem almost comically brilliant, but the short term loss of income will be a challenge. A challenge we are prepared to take.
I feel I am definitely lagging behind at work, so I am going to have to make a solid plan. Earmark three hours on Sunday to do just that.
Watched a terrible Bollywood film — boring and almost cartoonish. Still, could be worse.
Hit the sack by 11 pm, a day of shopping in Camden and an Arsenal match on Saturday. Fun times indeed.
