Soporific Sunday.
Woke up early to video call the Mrs’ gargantuan journey from the airport tarmac past the egregious UK Immigration queue at Heathrow, all the way down to Canary Wharf.
Welcomed her back home with an extra hot flat white and an oven-fresh, crispy AF hot, plain croissant.
Then we unpacked – each other first – and then the huge bags. Lots of clothes, kitchen items, loose change, and other relatively valuable kitsch.
Then we finally lounged on the couch after what felt like forever to watch “Animal” on Netflix. About 4 hours later, I felt absolutely shortchanged and aghast. The Mrs had dozed off ages ago. We got into bed for about 7pm, and another vigorous session of unpacking later, I opened a brand new Seth Godin book and devoured about four chapters.
His writing is impossibly simple and actionable and succinct. So bloody addictive. And frankly, I am yet to disagree with any of his findings.
Before I know it though, am damn near asleep. And I nod off to dreamland. Looking forward to a productive Monday.
