Working from home today. Have a good few work & personal things to finish up before I take the Mrs for a doctors visit. Thinking I’ll drive down in my Range Rover – it deserves a bit of the springtime sun. Fingers crossed it doesn’t get stopped by any pesky police. I wonder if I can use “hey it’s a medical emergency for the wife” as a legit excuse? Let’s see.
Yesterday was manic – by far the longest work day I’ve had since joining. Enjoyed it thoroughly – all the discussions, semi arguments, negotiations, technicalities. It’s actually fun when I get to take part and actually add value. See, that’s all I need: a way of adding value to my world.
My boss gave me my “year end” review, albeit a truncated one considering I am only in the company 7 months. All positive, all good, no pay raise. But hey, there’s always next year.
Getting the flashy red Mini Cooper convertible delivered this evening. Woohoo. A total liability I agree but we need a car and the Range Rover is just impractical. I’ll have both and love it.
