Daily Diary
8th & 9th December
Bit of a writing lull for yours truly after a manic work week.
But I am back now with a quick 2-dayer recap.
Friday: WFH day. Barely got out of my shorts, T-shirt and couch as I fielded all my work calls in a mostly horizontal position. Including delivering a full slide deck in share-screen mode. Spend the evening with lots of home-pulled pints of Guinness and back-to-back movies (Zero — ambitious but flawed, and the new Netflix-Julia Roberts thriller — effing terrible).
Saturday: Woke up at an ungodly 10:30 AM. Booked our reworked flights to India, another unforeseen 500 quid expense. Then spent the day boutique luxury shopping in Chelsea — some seriously jaw-dropping collections that we gratuitously fingered. Before eventually finding a “Bally” bag for the Mrs that she instantly loved. Then zoomed back to witness Arsenal get beat at Villa Park, watched another humdrum Netflix feature, and went off to bed.
Bit of a rushed weekend but gonna take it easy on Sunday. Have a family-filled week coming up — cousin, sister, and friends visiting and staying over, will check in as and when I can.
