Action-packed Saturday.
Woke up lateish, skipped all workouts, headed straight over to the Shard. Blistering rain, freezing winds, but we eventually rode the escalator to the 69th floor. Mesmerised by the gorgeous views across the capital, pointing out places that we’ve been to and cackling like kids. Spent an hour doing this repeatedly, until the sun came out.
Then quick tube ride over to Oxford street. M&S flagship store, summer T-shirt shopping – loving those Supima cotton collections that M&S stock – and headed over to Selfridges next door to ogle at stuff we can’t afford to buy. I was frankly unimpressed with the 2024 98-inch-QLED offering from Samsung, coming in at a cool 30k GBP. I mean, wow. Who affords that?
Anyway, quick nibble in Marylebone. Gorgeous Asian place with portions the size of an ant. But Zone 1, innit? What can you do?
Eventually back home and back-to-back football matches. Couple of sips of single malt as we wound up in bed and slept for 8 straight hours.
Back up now, with a long todo list. Starting off with a full workout. Going to hit the sack for a bit first though, will go through the motions when I am up properly in couple hours.
That’s that for now – chat later!
