Embracing Discomfort.

Leap year! Been a while since we had one, innit? About four years…

Long day in the office yesterday, followed by cycling, lifting, and hogging food. Watched through most of “True Detective”. Meh. I find that I just can’t be arsed getting into character driven dramas. It’s all so boring and pedantic and in the grand scheme of things, utterly pointless. But whatever, the Mrs is enjoying it so am giving her company.

Had a 1–1 with the boss at work. He told me that I won’t be getting the top job this time unfortunately, cause apparently am not quite ready yet. Fair enough. At least they know am keen. Good luck to whoever gets it, and it makes career progression a lot clearer for me.

Also spent significant time looking up a Lake District holiday for the Easter break. Will present the shortlist to the Mrs later tonight – she’ll make the final decision of course. I do have to resurrect my ancient Range Rover from the underground car park at some point. Perhaps this weekend?

So yeah, a mixed day all in all. Not super productive but definitely inching towards progress.

Catch you on the next one!
