Embracing Discomfort.

Didn’t realise It was Valentine’s Day until roughly 6pm in the evening. Compensated by taking the Mrs to an impromptu pizza in Shadwell. Under the train bridge. Surrounded by council estates, thrift stores, and pound shops. Glitzy AND romantic. Sometimes I wonder how I am the perfect package.

Anyway – earlier in the day, stewing over the crappy interview, I decided to WFH for the rest of the week. So I did. And then booked more house viewings. The first one was meh – too boring and utterly nondescript. The second was gorgeous, characterful, and quaint but a tad too small. And I have no idea about the neighbourhood. The third was a whole lotta house – 4 beds and more – but in a bonafide ex-council estate, so we ruled that out.

So far, so meh. House hunting is painful. But has to be done. Meanwhile, my house in Drogheda is going up for sale over the weekend. Maybe we get lucky and a lunatic decides to pay over the odds for it?

Time will tell.

Until then!
