Hump day again.
Turns out my presentation went down a storm with the senior folks. Total bullshit masterclass, and voila, am in the good books again. They praised my storytelling ability, and as much as I loved hearing that, they did also criticize me for wearing a t shirt. Murphy’s law innit? Every single day I am in a suit & tie, and the one time I am in a house T-shirt, that’s when they notice. Still, it probably means I’ve ridiculously high standards set.
So they’ve entrusted me with putting another director-level slide deck by lunch tomorrow. Talking figures and graphics and headcount and pursuits. To be signed, sealed, and delivered in the next 36-ish hours. And if I do this successfully, I reckon there’s a serious pot of gold at the end of the tunnel.
So I’ve to get to work. Again.
On the personal front, the Tesla saga continues. It was all done until the dealership rang to say my financing was declined. Weird considering they’ve let me finance a more expensive car? But then I reckon it’s because they realise they are overpaying for my car. Either way, they had to pull out. But screw that. I’ll still plow ahead, another dealer seems hellbent on getting me behind the wheels by the end of the week. Let’s see how that goes.
Rest day today, but a boatload of stuff to do. So I am gonna get right on it.
