3 Reasons Why I Am Selling My House
It’s always about the “why”.
The verdict’s in: I’m selling my house. After years of deliberation and watching my 3-bed, 3-bath sanctuary endure tenant turmoil, it’s time. Why now? Let’s dive in.
First up, rent’s a bust. Tenants have been rough on the place, and what do I net? Peanuts. Thanks to spiked interest rates and the government’s appetite for my income tax, the trickle into my GBP account hardly justifies the headache.
Then there’s stamp duty, the UK’s welcome mat of taxation for daring to own more bricks while picking up some here. It’s madness. Dodging this tax bill alone makes selling a no-brainer.
And then there’s the kicker: supply’s tight. My little corner outside Dublin is like gold dust. Buyers are queued up, credits in hand, but the “For Sale” signs remain stuff of legends. And since I own something that the world wants to desperately buy, it’s time to spruce up my place and let it shine on the market. Peak profit, FTW!
So there you have it – three hard-hitting reasons to let go.
Stick around for my next article though – All about the “How” of the sale. Navigating that saga is something you wouldn’t wanna miss.
